Four victims are in serious condition, according to the Associate Press. However, a doctor at Forbes Regional Hospital, which is reportedly treating seven of the students, says all of them have life threatening injuries. The victims range from age 15 to 60 years old.
The Chicago Sun Times reports that the number of injured could rise to 20, citing an emergency official. However, not all were injured by the knife — some were hurt in the mayhem that followed the attack, Westmoreland County emergency management spokesman Dan Stevens tells the Associated Press.
