The Federal Trade Commission called various states’ bans on direct sales for automakers like Tesla “bad policy” that stifles competition
The FTC weighed in with a blog post on Thursday that argued that while technology has transformed the way we buy other goods, the auto category has remained stubbornly resistant to change.
“For decades, local laws in many states have required consumers to purchase their cars solely from local, independent auto dealers.
