Apple typically releases its next-generation iPhones in September of each year, but a new report suggests we might see the iPhone 6 a little earlier this time around.
According to sources cited in Taiwan's Economic Daily News (spotted by Reuters), the iPhone 6 is expected to launch in August, one month ahead of the company's normal product cycle schedule.
The report says only the 4.7-inch iPhone will launch in August, with Apple debuting a larger 5.5-inch or 5.6-inch model in September.
Earlier this year, an alleged leaked document of what was believed to be a schematic of the iPhone 6 provided hints that the new Apple smartphone could be in the 5.5-inch range. This would be Apple's first foray into larger handsets, often referred to as "phablets." Read more...
