Misanthropes beware (or despair, if you’re already here): New York City probably isn’t the best place for people who hate people
Sometimes it isn’t even a great place for people who, every now and then, wouldn’t mind some peace and quiet. You open a book in a cafe and sirens start blaring from the street. You go for a walk and unexpectedly run into a bustling, frenzied tourist hub. And don’t even get us started on the subway at rush hour.
Contrary to popular belief, however, there are places in New York where your head won’t collapse under the existential weight of the more than eight million people living within just 305 square miles of you (by the way, that’s more than 27,000 people per square mile).
