Pussy Riot Turned Time in a Russian Prison Into a New Media Site

Masha Alekhina remembers her time in a Russian prison. A member of feminist group Pussy Riot, she and fellow group member Nadya Tolokonnikova spent nearly two years incarcerated for the patently punk rock charge of "hooliganism motivated by religious hatred."


"We were able to feel on our skin all the problems and difficulties of someone who is locked up in Russian prison," Alekhina told Mashable via Skype through an interpreter
