Google Doodle Honors the Many Sides of Audrey Hepburn on Her 85th Birthday

It’s been more than 20 years since Audrey Hepburn died from a rare type of cancer, but Google honored the actress on Sunday with a Doodle on its homepage to mark what would have been her 85th birthday


Hepburn is best known for starring in films from the ’50s and ’60s such as Breakfast at Tiffany’s and My Fair Lady, as well as her reputation for elegance and style. In her final years, she became a humanitarian who worked as an ambassador for UNICEF. She died at the age of 63.



Google Doodle artist Jennifer Horn wrote in an official blog post that she wanted to show both sides of Hepburn (the actress and the philanthropist) in Sunday’s artwork. Read more…
