SYDNEY — An Australian pet store has denied planning to give away animals, after a sign at a Pizza Hut franchise in Melbourne, Victoria, caused mass outrage on social media.
Australian animal rights group Oscar's Law, who are against the sale of animals in pet stores, posted the Pizza Hut sign to their Facebook page after receiving a call from a supporter on Saturday.
The sign at the Mount Waverley store read: "Buy 10 large pizzas and get one free small animal from Pets Story"
