James Franco is many things: film star, director, soap opera alum, former Oscar host, poet, Broadway lead, film school graduate, heartthrob, teacher. But please, Internet, he's not the selfie king.
During a small press gathering this week to promote his new AOL On Originals series called Making a Scene — a humorous collection of digital shorts that mashes up two iconic films in one (like Dirty Dancing and Reservoir Dogs), Franco said he's undeserving of the title of the web's premiere selfie expert.
"I wouldn't call myself a selfie king," Franco told Mashable. "If you look at Justin Bieber's Instagram account — and then look at Ashley Benson and Selena Gomez, too — they have a lot more selfies than me. I wrote an article about selfies in the New York Times and it just stuck." Read more...
