Accused Father Sexted While Son Died in Hot Car, Police Say

A judge on Thursday denied bail for a Georgia man charged in a hot car death of his 22-month old son. The judge also found probable cause for charging Justin Ross Harris, 33, with child cruelty and felony murder


Harris has pled not guilty to all charges and awaits a decision from a grand jury on the murder indictment


Harris's son Cooper died in the backseat of a hot car on June 18, 2014 in Marietta, Georgia. Harris says he forgot to drop his son off at daycare, leaving him in a hot car for more than seven hours instead. After characterizing the incident as an accident, police officers quickly changed their tune after the investigation got underway. Read more...
