Since Google opened up the Glass program a month ago, it’s been pretty easy to purchase the device, assuming you lived in the US and had $1500 to spend. However, it looks pretty likely that Google might end up opening up the country restrictions on Glass at I/O this year.
Rumors point to Google releasing Glass in the UK at their annual event, and it’s likely that English-speaking countries like Australia and Canada will also have a chance to buy the device, too. There are also bits of Japanese in the code of the latest Glass APK, so there’s a chance we might see it made available in Japan, too.
I/O is on June 25th this year, so we shouldn’t have to wait too much longer to see if this rumor pans out.
