Lyft sues former COO who defected to Uber

The battle of the ride apps has yet another chapter.


Lyft has accused its former COO of stealing internal documents before leaving for his new job as VP of international growth at Uber


The lawsuit, first reported by TechCrunch , was filed on Wednesday in San Francisco and alleges that Travis VanderZaden downloaded product plans, financial information and various other private information to his Dropbox account.



Uber and Lyft already have a contentious relationship. Uber CEO Travis Kalanick recently said he had attempted to undermine Lyft’s fundraising efforts. In August, documents leaked that showed Uber had attempted a broad “sabotage campaign” against Lyft. Read more…
