Android Wear, Google's new platform for wearables, played a big role in Wednesday's keynote at the company's annual I/O developers conference, when Google execs demoed three different smartwatches running the operating system.
Samsung's Gear Live and LG's G became the first Android Wear-powered smartwatches to go on sale Wednesday. (The other new Android Wear device, the Moto 360, will hit shelves later this year.)
