Ford reportedly issued four recalls on Thursday affecting nearly 1.4 million vehicles in North America
The car company said it will recall just more than 915,000 Ford Escape and Mercury Mariner SUV models from 2008-2011 due to an issue with the power steering, according to Reuters. It will also recall some 195,000 Explorers from 2011-2013 and 200,000 Taurus vehicles from 2010-2014.

Reps for Ford did not immediately respond to our request for comment.
Ford recalled 434,000 cars last month, including about 385,000 Escape SUVs from 2001-2004. Even so, the recall headlines have largely been dominated by General Motors. Read more...
