In the strangest promo of the century, Airbnb and Ikea have apparently teamed up to throw a mass slumber party in select stores.

No, really.

Unfortunately for Ikea fans, only Aussies living near Sydney or Perth can take advantage of the sleepover — unless you actually want to book a flight for a free night’s stay in Ikea.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, “Ikea will be transforming its room sets into ‘quirky accommodation’ options for three groups of up to four guests” on Aug. 31. People can book these makeshift rooms on Airbnb’s site.

Although I’ve grown to loathe Ikea’s fiberboard beds over the years, the eye-catching experiment may help Ikea and Airbnb boost adoption in Australia — although it appears Airbnb is already quite popular there, according to Google Trends and app-tracking site App Annie.

For context, Airbnb first launched in Australia back in November 2012.
