Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 was shot down Thursday while flying over a region of Eastern Ukraine currently controlled by pro-Russian separatists, killing all of the plane's 298 passengers, including three infants.
The nationalities of some of those on board remain unknown but the majority of the passengers came from the Netherlands, Australia and Malaysia, according to official statements by Malaysia Airlines.
