In 2 weeks we will see the Moto X-1 in real life, but this just might be the next best thing. Thanks to a little retirement gift from @evleaks, we have the press images of the wooden and leather versions of the phone.
The first thing you might have noticed is the Verizon logo signifying their version. Other than the logo, we don’t expect there to be any differences between the carrier versions. As far as hardware goes, the front of the device shows what could be front-facing stereo speakers. However, since the top one appears to be bigger, I am not convinced just yet. The power and volume rocker appears to be lower on the right side, probably because of the larger footprint.
Going to the back of the device, the camera lens is definitely different with the extra ring around it. It also appears that there might be a dual flash setup with one at each side of the ring. The Motorola logo looks like a separate plate instead of the dimpled engraving we saw with the Moto X.
Lastly, you will notice the date on the display of each device is September 17, which could indicate the release date for at least Verizon.
So what do you guys think? Are you excited for the Moto X+1 or is the Moto 360 going to take the spotlight?
