A new app called Normal tells you which other apps to kill in order to save your battery life.
Unlike other apps that tell you what’s zapping your power, Normal — which launched on iOS last week, price 99 cents — uses crowdsourced data from other users to offer personalized advice and pinpoint the drainage culprits
Normal provides a basic analysis of which apps you should power down first. For example, it might suggest shutting down Facebook in order to gain three hours of battery life.
The app comes from two Stanford-educated computer scientists, Adam Oliner and Jacob Leverich, who developed it at Kuro Labs and using tech created at the University of California at Berkeley.
