Surfer and childhood rebel Chris Strode, 40, created the initial version of the now hugely-successful invoicing app Invoice2go in 2002 on his commute home from work. The app has now just seen an injection of $A35 million by Silicon Valley investment heavyweights Accel Partners and Ribbit Capital

Growing up in the small New South Wales town of Albury, Strode says he had a conventional childhood.
