Tim Howard saved 16 shots during Tuesday’s World Cup match, a new record by a U.S. goalie.
During regulation time of the United States vs. Belgium match, the American goalie looked like a brick wall with arms and a beard. Howard’s heroics gave the U.S. Men’s team a glimmer of hope in an otherwise lopsided match.
The U.S. ultimately fell 2-1 in overtime, but the story of Howard’s valiant efforts will be told around campfires for years to come. America salutes you, Timmy H.
