Stuck between getting a new laptop and an Android tablet? Why not get both in one?
HP just unveiled its new Slatebook, a super-sleek notebook running Android. That’s right, Android. Not Chrome OS.
It’s got a full 14-inch (diagonal) 1080p HD touchscreen, 9 hours of battery life, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, 2GB RAM and a quad-core processor with NVIDIA’s Tegra 4 chip clocked in at 1.8GHZ. There are 16, 32 and 64 GB variants for internal storage options. The price starts at $399.
You’ll also get Beats Audio quad speakers and a front-facing HP TrueVision HD Webcam. WiFi and Bluetooth are supported.
Connection ports include HDMI, USB 3.0, dual USB 2.0, audio mic/headset jack, AC adapter plug and a microSD card reader for expandable storage.
