When this accidental email from the photo service Shutterfly came through my friends' and colleagues' inboxes saying, "Congratulations on your new arrival" we all stopped and thought: Does Shutterfly know something we don't?

Though Twitter streams were quickly filled with the same sentiment (see a few of them below), one tweet shows the true impact of Shutterfly's mistake:

#Epicfail @Shutterfly! After 3 miscarriages & no babies, this email ripped me apart#ohip4ivf pic.twitter.com/zTViEWMFiC

"Earlier this morning, we unintentionally sent out an email in error to some of our customers. We deeply apologize for this intrusion and any offense this may have caused," a spokeswoman from Shutterfly told Mashable. The company confirmed the email was sent to a "large group of costumers."

Shutterfly also issued an apology on twitter:

But that was after Twitter users who received the email took to the platform to voice their opinions.
