Today, Buffer announced two new features that represent a more content-focused approach. Until today, users could navigate to any site and share it to social networks. The new Buffer features are designed to help users find and share content from the Buffer dashboard with content feeds and suggestions.
Buffer feeds are available for subscribers to the Awesome and Business plans. Buffer for Business users can add up to 10 feeds per connected profile and Awesome users can add one feed per profile. For example, if you’re an Awesome user with both your Facebook and Twitter profiles connected, you get a total of two feeds. The Buffer Blog suggests selecting the feed based on the type of content you typically share on each network:
Say you’re on the Awesome plan, and you’ve connected a Twitter profile and a Facebook profile.
If your Twitter profile focuses on social media tips, you might choose to add a social media feed like the Buffer blog or Kiss Metrics.
If your Facebook profile has a different focus—tech and gaming news, for instance -- you might prefer to connect a feed from The Verge or TechCrunch.
In addition to enabling users to pull in feeds from their favorite publications, Buffer will also be offering curated content suggestions. During the beta run of this feature, more than 200,000 stories were shared by Buffer users. To be clear, the suggestions won’t be chosen by algorithm, but selected by members of the Buffer staff.

We're excited to add a lot more exciting features around content discovery over the coming months that'll make sharing and managing your social media feeds easier than ever before.”
