According to Motorola executive Mark Randall, the smartwatch world so far has been mostly unexciting. In fact, in an interview with Trusted Reviews he said that every smartwatch release so far has been “pretty crappy”.
Randall is clearly hoping that will change with the release of the Moto 360, which has been praised for its design. He went on to say that “people are saying it is finally a device they would wear on their arm instead of being embarrassed about, and we haven’t even talked about functionality.”
The smartwatch world is still in its infancy, but so far no companies have released a device that has really caught on. While the full specs and pricing of the Moto 360 is still unconfirmed, the device should be launched in the second half of this year.
